What Makes Hemp Derived CBD CBD Products Legal?

In 2014 Congress passed the Farm Bill, which defines industrial hemp as any part of the plant Cannabis Sativa L. possessing no more than .3 percent THC. The Farm Bill created a framework for hemp cultivation in the United States and subsequent sale of hemp products.

What Makes All Hemp Products Legal?

In 2018 Congress passed updates to the farm billing including a proposed law to remove hemp (defined as cannabis with less than 0.3% THC) from Schedule I controlled substances and making it an ordinary agricultural commodity. Its provisions were incorporated in the 2018 United States farm bill that became law on December 20, 2018.

What's the Difference Between Marijuana and Hemp?

CBD can be derived from the hemp plant or from marijuana itself. Both provide different varieties of cannabis, but medical marijuana CBD is currently only legal in select states.

While some states do not legally recognize hemp-based CBD as a legal substance it is COMPLETELY ILLEGAL for any local or state government agency to seize your hemp derived CBD and they CANNOT pursue any legal action due to possession of a isolated hemp-based CBD.
